Hand-Stitched Leather Goods
We work exclusively with full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leather, selecting hides based on their natural characteristics rather than uniformity. Each bag, wallet, or accessory is cut by hand to work with the leather's grain structure.
Our construction method uses traditional saddle stitching. This technique involves two needles passing through each hole in opposite directions, creating a seam that's actually stronger than the leather itself. If a thread breaks years from now, the rest of the seam holds rather than unraveling.
Edge finishing receives particular attention. We bevel, sand, and burnish each edge through multiple stages until it achieves a smooth, sealed surface that resists fraying and moisture penetration.

Wheel-Thrown Ceramic Pieces
Our ceramic work uses high-fire stoneware clay bodies that mature at cone 10 temperatures. This higher firing temperature creates a denser, more durable ceramic that's naturally food-safe and resistant to thermal shock.
Each piece begins on the potter's wheel, where we shape the clay through a combination of pressure and support. The throwing process creates subtle variations that give each bowl, mug, or vase its individual character.
Glazes are mixed in-house using recipes we've developed and tested over several years. We focus on stable, reliable formulas that produce consistent colors while allowing for natural variation in how they break over edges and pool in recesses.

Carved Wooden Objects
We source wood from sustainable Italian forestry operations, selecting boards based on their grain patterns, figure, and color variation. Each piece of wood suggests different possibilities depending on how the grain runs.
Our carving and shaping work combines machine and hand tools. Initial dimensioning uses power tools for efficiency, but final shaping and surface preparation happens by hand with planes, scrapers, and sandpaper.
Finishing involves multiple applications of food-safe oil that penetrates the wood fibers rather than sitting on the surface. This approach enhances the natural grain while protecting the wood without creating a plastic-like coating.

Hand-Woven Textiles
Our floor loom allows us to create textiles with complex patterns and varied textures. We work primarily with natural fibers including wool, linen, and cotton, selecting yarns based on their hand feel and how they interact with light.
The weaving process itself is methodical. Each throw of the shuttle places one weft thread across the warp, building the fabric one row at a time. Pattern development happens through careful planning of which warp threads lift for each pass.
We experiment with natural dye processes for some pieces, using plant-based materials to create colors that shift subtly depending on lighting conditions. These dyes produce softer, more complex tones than synthetic alternatives.

Forged Metal Jewelry
Our metalwork uses traditional silversmithing techniques applied to sterling silver and brass. Each piece begins as sheet or wire metal that we shape through a combination of hammering, filing, and forming.
The forging process involves controlled deformation of the metal. As we work the material, it becomes harder and takes on texture from the hammer marks and tools. This creates surfaces that catch light differently than cast or polished metal.
Finishing choices depend on the desired effect. Some pieces receive a high polish that emphasizes the metal's reflective qualities. Others keep a matte or oxidized finish that highlights texture and form over shine.
